8th Avenue trees to be removed this week

by | Sep 8, 2009

MyBallard reports that the dead Arbutus trees along 8th Avenue will be removed this week. The trees didn’t survive last year’s harsh winter.

Wednesday through Sunday, Seattle Department of Transportation Urban Forestry crews will cut down about 40 dead trees, which will then be recycled into arbors, trellises and bird houses for a children’s play garden in Rainier Valley.
