Party in Greenwood Park Aug. 30

by | Aug 23, 2009

Everyone’s invited to a party in Greenwood Park from 1-4 p.m. on August 30. It’s hosted by Vision Greenwood Park, which wants to hear your ideas for expanding the park at North 87th between Evanston and Fremont Avenues (and you can fill out their survey here).

Come to Greenwood Park for a party with a purpose. Enjoy free food donated by local restaurants including Molly Moon’s, Mr. Gyro’s, and Olive You along with barbecue home-cooked by volunteers. While you’re having fun at the Park you can also see sketches of plans for expanding and improving the Park.

Vision Greenwood Park is a group of neighbors working to improve and expand the Park. We have been talking to community groups, park users, neighbors and others about how to best grow the Park. Based on what we’ve heard, we’ve developed a range of alternative designs for adding more features and activities to the Park. Come see the range of plans and let us know what you’d like to see in the future.
