Greenwood Bank of America robbed Monday

by | Jun 23, 2009

From the Seattle Police Department blotter:

Bank Robber at large: On 6/22/09, just shortly after 3:00 p.m., a man displaying a handgun robbed a Bank in the 400 block of N 85th St. The suspect was described as a white male, in his 50s. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. The Investigation continues.

I just called the Bank of America branch at 404 N. 85th St. and confirmed that they were robbed. The person I spoke with says no customers knew what happened until after the robber left and employees locked the door behind him. He told me Bank of America corporate security wants employees and customers to comply with what the robber asks. “Don’t try to be a hero and tackle the robber” because you might get hurt, he said.
