Circus arts on display Friday at Harlequin School

by | Jun 12, 2009

Here’s something new and exciting in the neighborhood – the Harlequin Source School is using the upstairs of SPACE: A Design Build Collective at 7601 Greenwood Ave. N. to perform circus variete acts. It’s 2,000 square feet of space with 20-foot ceilings (perfect for dangling ropes), plus an art gallery.
On Friday night, Harlequin presents its first ever “fun raising” event at 9 p.m. Performers include The Harlequin Hipsters, Tamara the Trapeze Lady, and Misty Montaigne. Cost is $15. Harlequin also will be open for free during the artwalk from 6-9 p.m.
On Sunday, Harlequin hosts a fundraising dance at 9 p.m., featuring The Senate. Cost is $15.
