The Cambodian non-profit Tiny Toones is holding a fundraiser in Greenwood Friday night to raise funds to help teach basic education, gang intervention and prevention, and HIV/AIDS awareness to youth off the streets of Phnom Penh.
The community fundraiser is from 6-10 p.m. Friday at the Greenwood Collective, 8537 Greenwood Ave. N. Admission is $15; advance tickets for $10 are on sale online. Youth under the age of 13 get in free.
Tiny Toones uses breakdancing, hip-hop music and contemporary art to empower Cambodian youth. Seven Tiny Toones youth will be here as part of the national fundraising tour. The event will feature entertainment by 2nd Language, Khmer In Action, Massive Monkees and Tiny Toones. There’ll also be local art, a live auction, raffle, refreshments and Tiny Toones merchandise available for purchase.
