The debate over Phinney’s boundaries rages on

by | Feb 12, 2009

A while back we got a lot of response to our post on where Phinney ends and Greenwood begins. Today, MyBallard has a story on where Phinney ends and Ballard begins.
Dozens of commenters so far have weighed in with their ideas, some based on historical use, some on what an old-timer told them, and one poster says she knows exactly where the boundaries are because she literally wrote a book about it.
The subject came up last night when the Ballard District Council wanted to update its bylaws with the correct boundaries, but the Ballard Historical Society couldn’t provide any real guidance. “We’ve determined that it’s undetermined,” was the response.
