Lucky child to light PNA tower Dec. 6

The Phinney Neighborhood Center is getting into the Wacktastic spirit by lighting the old air raid siren tower, and a lucky child will get to “throw the switch” to turn on the lights on Dec. 6.

Organizer Mike Veitenhans tells us that children ages 5-12 will be given a ticket just before 5 p.m., as the PNA’s Winter Festival is ending for the day. Then he’ll pick one ticket – and possibly two if they get lights strung around the roof of the Blue Building, too – to see who gets to light up the night.
He hopes to put together a short program that will include some sing-along caroling.
