Even the animals at Woodland Park Zoo are celebrating back to school time. At 11 a.m. on Friday the orangutans will get sack lunches and writing utensils to play with; other animals throughout the zoo will get lunches and “textbooks” from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Also on Sunday, the first 2,000 kids through the door will get a free plush penguin as part of the zoo’s “Every Living Thing Needs Water” summer visitor experience.Â
