Allusia closing, moving sale

As Ken’s Market prepares to expand on Phinney Ridge, the home decor and gift shop, Allusia, is reluctantly making way with a moving sale.

A sign on their window catching many eyes reads: “Some of you may know that we are losing our space to the proposed expansion of Ken’s Market. We have attempted to negotiate an extension of our lease through the holiday season, but have been refused by our landlord, Ken.”

The sign goes on to say the store will open in a new Phinney/Greenwood location to-be-named. A store employee said they’re down to two locations, but wouldn’t give more details.

In the meantime, if you’re looking for 20-60 percent off on everything from jewelry to furniture, stop by before Sept. 8 when they plan to close at 7225 Greenwood Ave. N.

And The Couth Buzzard, also closing to make way for Ken’s, was still selling off books today, even as workers are dismantling shelves and boxing up remaining books.
