What we do:

We turn strangers into neighbors, and neighbors into a welcoming and caring community.

A community organization founded in 1980, the PNA offers diverse programs, services, and activities at four sites in Northwest Seattle, reaching more than 27,000 people a year. The PNA brings together community for lifelong engagement—from parent-infant classes to our award-winning memory loss programs for seniors and their caregivers—and for all ages in between.

Headquartered in a historic former elementary school, the PNA currently has about 60 full- and part-time staff, more than 1,500 volunteers, and an annual budget of $2.5 million. Read about our history »

The PNA is known for our broad spectrum of quality programming and our capacity to be nimble, creative, and collaborative. We are influential in fostering civic engagement and building community in northwest Seattle and beyond.

The PNA is financially stable with diverse funding sources and broad community support that keeps us independent and accountable to our community. We creatively leverage our resources by partnering with community groups, organizations, local government, and businesses.

We are good stewards of our Phinney Center and Greenwood Senior Center campuses, with a focus on accessibility, historic preservation, and environmental stewardship. All PNA programs are housed on campus or in stable, long-term locations in the greater neighborhood.
