Engineering Foundations: Mechanics, Circuits, and Code

Curious about how engineering works? Build, wire, and code your way into the world of real engineering!

In this hands-on course, students design mechanical prototypes and integrate electronics and coding to make them move, react, and think. Through fun, story-driven challenges, they’ll create projects like a motorized bridge that raises and lowers when a “car” approaches or an automatic pet feeder that dispenses treats on a schedule. Students explore how gears, pulleys, linkages, motors, and sensors work together, then discover how an Arduino microcontroller brings their inventions to life through simple code.

By the end of the course, students will think like true engineers—combining mechanics, circuits, and programming to solve creative problems and build things that really work!
