Eco-Anxiety Got You Down? PNA Village Group Offers a Remedy.

Eco-Actors, a PNA Village group dedicated to exploring ways to curb climate change, is holding a free Hour of Action event. It will take place on Saturday, February 28, 1:30–2:30 pm, in Room 7 of Phinney Center’s blue building. All are welcome. You’ll hear presentations from and/or about organizations that welcome others to help them in in their remarkable efforts. For example, Third Act focuses on solar power as an antidote to use of fossil fuels and other harmful ways to generate electricity. They’re mobilizing people to help build a database of local governments’ approaches to solar power. Do the governments encourage or discourage it? Do they have onerous and expensive permitting and inspection programs? Then volunteers can educate government representatives on software that can help them reduce time and labor costs for making residential solar a reality. After these presentations, you’ll be given additional ideas and then time to prepare your own action plan and, in the process, you’ll be converting eco-paralysis into eco-action!
