Dumpling Class with Karachi Kitchen
Karachi Kitchen owner and cookbook author Kausar Ahmed was always curious growing up about the cuisine brought by the local Afghan refugees to her home city of Karachi, Pakistan — similar but different, influenced by Pakistani flavors as well as those of China, Persia and Central Asia. In this class Kausar will share some history of Afghan cooking traditions as you make Aushak (Afghan dumplings from scratch, filled with leeks and scallions, and served with chunky tomato and beef sauce and a garlicky yogurt) We can also have a vegetarian option made with a lentil topping.
