Phinney auction raises record $102,000

Last Saturday’s annual Phinney Neighborhood Association auction raised a record $102,000 for the PNA’s programs.
PNA Executive Director Lee Harper tells us it’s the first time the auction has ever made more than $100,000, and it was $14,000 above their goal for this year.
Included in that total is a record $16,500 for the fund-a-need item, where people raise their paddles for a straight donation. This year’s fund-a-need proceeds go to the PNA Hot Meal Program (which is changing its name from the Soup Kitchen). That amount is $5,000 above the highest previous fund-a-need total.
The Dessert Dash — where each table pools their resources for a chance to be the first to pick out their dessert — also brought in a record-breaking $8,225.
