Have a slice, Help a Neighbor!

by | Oct 6, 2026

What if you could make a real difference for an older neighbor and it didnโ€™t require a huge commitment?

Thatโ€™s one of the amazing things about volunteering with PNA Village. It isnโ€™t about taking on another big responsibility. Itโ€™s about using a little of what you already haveโ€”your time, your skills, your willingness to helpโ€”to make someone elseโ€™s day a little easier. Maybe you have an hour to help with a garden. Maybe youโ€™re good at fixing things, giving someone a ride, or simply spending time with another person. Or maybe youโ€™re just curious about what it means to be part of a community that helps its older neighbors stay supported and connected as they age.

Come have a drink and a slice of pizza with us and find out what the PNA Village is all about!

Join us for the PNA Village Volunteer Recruitment Happy Hour on Wednesday, October 21, from 5โ€“6pm at the Phinney Center Blue Building, 6532 Phinney Ave N, in Room 7. Weโ€™ll have pizza, beer, and other refreshmentsโ€”and, more importantly, a chance to learn about the many ways you can support your elder neighbors.

The PNA Village uses community support to empower older adults to age in the homes and neighborhoods they love. That community support comes from people just like youโ€”neighbors who are willing to lend a hand, share a skill, or show up when someone needs a little help.

RSVPs are appreciated but not required. To RSVP or learn more, contact [email protected] or 206-789-1217.

Come for the pizza. Stay for the possibility of making a difference right here in your own neighborhood.
