The Phinney Neighborhood Community Chorus is inviting neighbors to gather for an evening of music and seasonal cheer at its annual Family, Friends & Neighbors Holiday Concert. The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 19, at Woodland Park Presbyterian Church located at 225 N 70th Street. Instead of a traditional ticket price, attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable donation to support the Gordon’s Little Free Pantry, adding a meaningful community focus to the night’s festivities.
The chorus, led by longtime director Maggie McClellan, has been a lively and welcoming presence in the neighborhood since 1999. Known for its inclusive approach, the group welcomes anyone who loves to sing—no auditions required—and brings together voices of all experience levels to create a warm, natural sound. Members rehearse and perform for the joy of music and for the chance to strengthen community bonds both locally and globally. Their repertoire spans cultures, languages, and musical traditions, with a focus on connection, beauty and the shared experience of singing together.
This holiday performance offers an opportunity for neighbors to come together, enjoy a festive program, and support a local food resource during a time of heightened need. The chorus hopes the community will join them in celebrating the season and embracing the spirit of togetherness that has guided their work for more than two decades.
