Evanston P-Patch needs volunteers to help replace old fence

by | Oct 16, 2017

Evanston P-Patch, at 604 N. 101st St., is undergoing renovation and needs volunteers to help out. A group of neighbors has received a grant from the city’s Department of Neighborhoods to replace the fence, but they need more volunteers to remove the old fence.
Fence removal will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21. Neighbors are planning a “stone soup” celebration that day, to feed volunteers soup made from the garden’s vegetables.
If you can help out, bring your own gloves and shovel if you have them (they’ll have some tools available). RSVP by email to [email protected].
Evanston P-Patch is the second oldest community garden in the city.
