This is a monthly contribution to the PhinneyWood Blog by Greenwood realtor, Doron Weisbarth.
Augustโs PhinneyWood real estate numbers were a mixed bag. Unlike the broader King County market where new listings finally declined, new listings here continued to increase, pushing available inventory even higher. At the same time, buyer activity picked up, with more homes going under contract than in July. However, that wasnโt enough to keep pace with the growing supply; inventory continued moving toward a more balanced market, homes took longer to sell, and prices showed signs of softening.
So, what does it all mean? Buyers are still buying, but they have more choices and sellers face more competition. Whether this is the beginning of a more balanced PhinneyWood market or simply another unusual month remains to be seen.
