Donate School Supplies for Local Families

by | Aug 20, 2026

As families prepare for the start of the 2026-27 school year, FamilyWorks is once again collecting school supplies to help local students head back to class ready to learn.

Last year, the organization provided 210 students with new backpacks filled with school supplies. This year, FamilyWorks hopes to support even more children and is asking the community to help make that possible through donations of new, unused school supplies.

According to FamilyWorks, the greatest current needs include:

  • Wired headphones
  • Water bottles
  • High school backpacks

Community members can purchase items directly from the organization’s wishlist or donate supplies in person at the FamilyWorks Family Resource Center.

Donations can be shipped to:

FamilyWorks
1005 NE 67th St.
Seattle, WA 98115

Donations may also be dropped off during the following hours:

  • Tuesday: 10 a.m.โ€“2 p.m.
  • Wednesday: Noonโ€“5 p.m.
  • Thursday: 10 a.m.โ€“4 p.m.
  • Friday: 10 a.m.โ€“2 p.m.

Those needing to arrange a different drop-off time can contact FamilyWorks directly at (206) 647-1790 or email Senior Family Programs Coordinator Gladys Martinez at [email protected].

With the first day of school approaching, FamilyWorks says community support will help ensure more local students have the supplies they need for a successful school year.
