One of the Seattle area’s most celebrated pizzerias is officially joining the neighborhood.
On Sunday, August 2, Stevie’s Famous Pizza will celebrate the grand opening of its newest location at 6000 Phinney Ave. N., taking over the former Zeek’s Pizza space and giving the iconic big blue building on the corner a complete transformation.
Founded by Shane Abbott and Justin Harcus, Stevie’s Famous has earned a devoted following since opening its original Burien location before expanding to Beacon Hill. Along the way, the restaurant has been recognized by The Seattle Times, Seattle Met, The Infatuation, and Eater Seattle for its naturally leavened New York-style pizzas, becoming one of the region’s most talked-about pizza destinations.
The Phinney Ridge restaurant marks the company’s first location north of downtown Seattle and its largest restaurant to date. According to the owners, the neighborhood’s vibrant restaurant community made it a natural fit for the expansion.
The new space is designed to be more than just a pizza stop. Guests will find a spacious patio, four arcade games, local beer and wine on tap, and the same counter-service experience that has made Stevie’s a destination in Burien and Beacon Hill.
The Grand Opening Party takes place Saturday, August 2, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., inviting neighbors to stop in, grab a slice or a whole pie, and help welcome one of Seattle’s favorite pizza makers to Phinney Ridge.
Stevie’s arrival continues the evolution of PhinneyWood as one of Seattle’s premier dining neighborhoods.
