Dust off your walking shoes and dig out your small bills โ PNA’s PhinneyWood Garage Sale Day returns this Saturday, July 11, from 9am to 1pm, and the forecast is looking gloriously summery.
New this year: there’s no flea market at the PNA โ instead, all the action is out in the neighborhood, with a whopping 100 sites registered.
If you’ve never done Garage Sale Day before, here’s the magic of it: a hundred households across Phinney Ridge and Greenwood throw open their garages and front yards on the same morning, and the whole neighborhood turns into one big treasure hunt. Vintage lamps, kids’ bikes, records, tools, that perfectly weird ceramic thing you didn’t know you needed โ it’s all out there waiting.
The Map Is Live
The Garage Sale Day map is now live on the PNA website. Pull it up on your phone, plot your route, and hop from sale to sale. Some folks go in with a strategy; others just follow the hand-painted signs and see where the morning takes them. Both approaches are correct.
Don’t Miss the Tool Library Sale
The PNA’s beloved Tool Library is hosting its used tool sale at the Phinney Center (6532 Phinney Ave N) during the event โ great tools at very friendly prices, with all proceeds supporting this fantastic community lending program. Pop in for a bargain, stay for a tour, and leave plotting your next DIY project.
Last Call for Sellers
Got clutter that could be someone else’s treasure? There’s still time to join the fun โ register your sale by Thursday, July 9 to be added to the digital map only ($20 for PNA members, $30 for the general public). And whatever doesn’t sell can head straight to the Goodwill at 8th Ave NW & NW 65th St โ decluttering complete.
Make a Morning of It
When the sales wind down at 1pm, do yourself a favor and stick around. PhinneyWood’s cafes and restaurants are the perfect place to refuel, compare finds with your neighbors, and gloat about the mid-century side table you scored for five dollars.
