Looking for a meaningful way to spend your Sunday afternoon?
On Sunday, July 26 at 2:00 p.m., Music for Charity at the University of Washington will present a free benefit concert featuring chamber ensembles made up of UW students and alumni. The performance will raise funds for the Merkel Cell Carcinoma Collaborative (MC3) Institute at Fred Hutch, which is dedicated to advancing research, improving detection and treatment, and ultimately finding better outcomes for patients diagnosed with Merkel cell carcinomaโan aggressive form of skin cancer.
The concert is being organized in part by Moeko Agata, daughter of Setsuko Agata, owner of PhinneyWood’s Modern Japanese Cuisine, making this a wonderful opportunity to support both a local family and an important cause.
The event is free and open to everyone, though donations are encouraged. Best of all, 100% of all donations go directly to the MC3 Institute at Fred Hutch to support its groundbreaking research efforts.
