Inner Sparkle Arts: Bringing Creativity & Connection to PhinneyWood

by | Apr 7, 2026

The PNA community is lucky to have Alia Masonsmith involved in so many ways. As both a PNA Business Member and a regular volunteer teaching artist with the Hot Meal Program’s Art Club, she brings creativity, warmth, and generosity to everything she does.

Whether she’s hosting a Paint & Sip through her business, Inner Sparkle Arts, or leading a relaxed rock-painting session before the Hot Meal Program, Alia has a gift for creating welcoming spaces where people can connect and express themselves. Her passion for using art as a tool for relaxation and positive mental health shines!

How did you first get involved with the PNA?

I got involved with the PNA in the very early days of my business back in May of 2025.  As a first time business owner, I was searching for resources for community and support.  I stumbled upon the PNA after various google searches, and it very quickly became evident that it was exactly what I was looking for!  I’ve been involved ever since, and the PNA has been a fantastic resource for growing my business, and connecting me to other businesses in the area.

You’re a PNA business member…tell us about Inner Sparkle Arts!

Inner Sparkle Arts is my Art-teaching business!  I partner with local breweries, coffee shops, and other businesses to host Paint & Sips!  These Paint & Sips are a fun, beginner-friendly way to get creative and take some time for yourself.  During each class, I guide you step-by-step to create an acrylic masterpiece on canvas while you sip on a beer, coffee or other drink of choice!  These classes are meant to serve as an opportunity to let your inner artist out to play, and take time for yourself to relax and get creative.  I firmly believe that art is a therapeutic tool that can be used to promote positive mental health, and it is my passion to share that with others.

Outside of the acrylic paint & sips, I also offer watercolor class and craft workshops on occasion.

You’re also a PNA volunteer with the Hot Meal Program’s Art Club. Can you tell us about your experience there and what projects you’ve done?

Absolutely!  About once a month, I host a rock painting workshop prior to the hot meal service – and it has become the highlight of my month!  During these workshops we spend about an hour painting rocks while talking and catching up with one another.  I love seeing what ideas everyone brings in, and providing tips and tricks for how to bring their visions to life!  These workshops are a low-pressure way to get creative, and I’m excited to continue with them.
