Greenwood Community Council hosting litter pick-up and safety conversation in coming weeks

by | Feb 5, 2026

The Greenwood Community Council is planning a new series of monthly meetings starting in February, usually on most third Tuesdays of the month. The organizing committee is working on the schedule/topics for the beginning of 2026. Watch for updates early next week requesting your participation in a survey that will help identify their meetings and priorities over the next year.

On Saturday, February 7, part of the Greenwood Community Council Community Building Committee will host another litter pick-up for an hour or two. We will meet at 1:30pm in front of Coffeeholic on Greenwood at 8525 Greenwood Ave N. Pick-up supplies (grabbers, high-viz vests, trash bags, gloves) will be provided. Please join in!

The Seattle Police Department is hosting 10 monthly community conversations, Our City, Our Safety 2026 across the city, with each gathering designed to influence how the department will approach safety neighborhood by neighborhood. In partnership with the Department of Neighborhoods, the department is holding a conversation on Feb. 11 at the Green Lake Community Center. The meeting will take place from 6pm to 7:30pm.
