Bella Vita hosting two artistic workshops in March

by | Feb 24, 2026

Bella Vita is bringing two hands-on creative workshops to PhinneyWood this March, offering neighbors the chance to slow down, learn something new, and connect through art. Also, please note that they are celebrating International Womens Day on Sunday March 8th by offering 10% off storewide.

First up is the Sashiko Stitching Workshop with PhinneyWood resident Sherry Koyama of Harumi K., happening Monday, March 9 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Bella Vita (7315 Greenwood Ave N.) This class introduces participants to the traditional Japanese stitching technique known for its simple, beautiful geometric patterns and meditative rhythm. The $65 registration fee includes sashiko needles, two skeins of sashiko thread, and a cotton tea towel, so everything you need is provided. Sashiko is an excellent way to slow down and stitch with mindfulness. There is such beauty in its imperfection and its simplicity, flexibility and adaptability to many projects! This workshop is for sewers of all levels, from beginners to experienced.

Later in the month, the Water Color Workshop takes place on March 18 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the same Greenwood Avenue location. This relaxed and welcoming class is all about letting go of perfection and exploring the magic of watercolor. Participants will experiment, play with color, and enjoy the creative process in a supportive environment where no experience is needed—just curiosity. The $75 registration fee includes all supplies, making it easy to simply show up and create.

With two inspiring workshops in one month, Bella Vita continues to be a neighborhood hub for creativity, craftsmanship, and community right here in the heart of PhinneyWood.
