As winter settles in and temperatures continue to drop, Phinney Neighborhood Association is calling on the community to come together for an urgent Warm Winter Clothing Drive, running now through January 31, 2026.
At the heart of the Association’s work is meeting real, immediate needs across our neighborhood—supporting local businesses and households, elders and children, and neighbors experiencing housing insecurity. As we enter the briskest part of the year, the need for warm, rain-ready clothing becomes especially critical. This winter, the Association is partnering with its own Hot Meal Program alongside a local Mutual Aid group to ensure donated items reach adults in our community who need them most.
The drive is focused specifically on new or gently used adult winter clothing, including coats, jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts and pants, long johns, gloves, and hats. To help streamline distribution and get the right items to the right people, the Association is not accepting children’s clothing, sleeping bags, blankets, or food items for this drive.
Donation bins are conveniently located throughout the PhinneyWood business district, making it easy to drop off items while running errands or visiting local shops. Every jacket, hat, or pair of gloves donated helps provide warmth, dignity, and comfort during the coldest months of the year.
This is a simple yet powerful way to support your neighbors and spread a little extra holiday cheer. By participating, you’re helping ensure that warmth and care reach those who need it most—right here in our community.
