Stumbletown has announced the arrival of veteran chef Patrick Frank, marking a new chapter for the Seattle restaurant as it debuts an expanded evening menu and introduces a weekly Sunday Chef’s Dinner devoted to simple, expressive Italian cooking.

Frank, who brings more than four decades of culinary experience from restaurants, pubs, private clubs and luxury hotels across the country, is known for his focus on quality ingredients and straightforward technique. His long career in several of Seattle’s most notable kitchens has shaped a versatile and guest-centered approach. He describes his philosophy as rooted in restraint and craftsmanship, noting that simple dishes require precision and care, and that making guests feel at home remains at the heart of his work.

“There is nowhere to hide,” he says. “Simple ingredients, prepared with care, create the best meals. Being willing to do whatever it takes to make the guest feel at home is the greatest gift.”

Beginning Sunday, November 23, the restaurant will offer a weekly four-course Sunday Chef’s Dinner plus dessert for $35 per person. Each week’s menu will highlight seasonal ingredients and classic Italian preparations, with upcoming offerings shared regularly on Stumbletown’s online events calendar.

In addition to the new Sunday series, Frank has refreshed the restaurant’s evening menu with an array of Italian dishes designed to showcase depth, comfort and balance. The lineup features warm bean salads, charred vegetables, traditional pastas, grilled sausages and slow-braised meats, along with seafood options such as pan-roasted cod. Stumbletown’s popular daytime sandwiches, including its chicken and eggplant parmigiana, remain available by request during dinner service.

Stumbletown is housed in the former Joli space at 618 NW 65th Street and serves lunch from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, followed by dinner from 5 to 9 p.m., with extended hours until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Online ordering is available during business hours, and additional menu details and photos can be found on the restaurant’s website.
