With the rain and fog upon us, one thing is very clear: Holiday Bookfest is coming and bringing 28 authors!

An annual tradition in Phinneywood, this year marks the 16th festive book sale upstairs at the Phinney Center, Saturday, November 22, 2 – 4pm. Get ready for a fun and lively afternoon with friendly Pacific Northwest authors and illustrators of children’s books, fiction, cookbooks, nature writing, humor, graphic works, and more.

Expect new novels from the acclaimed Nicola Griffith and Sonora Jha, a hilarious new field guide to “dumb birds” from Matt Kracht, new “ground-breaking” gluten-free bread and pastry recipes from Aran Goyoaga, and Corinna Luyken’s delightful new picture book, The Arguers.

As always, the good folks at Phinney Books will provide books for authors to sign and personalize to you and your giftees. Authors will read from their work, and you’ll have a chance to give back for the holidays, too.

Literacy nonprofit Page Ahead and Phinney Neighborhood Association will receive a portion of the proceeds. Donations will also be taken for the Bureau of Fearless Ideas. And your gently used books (nonfiction preferred) will be collected for Books to Prisoners.

Meet old favorite and new authors, your neighbors and friends, and get some gift shopping done before the post-Thanksgiving rush! Follow Holiday Bookfest Seattle on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
