Bat Week 2025 takes flight with “Invisible Mammal” screening at Woodland Park Zoo tomorrow

by | Oct 27, 2025

This October, Bat Week 2025 swoops into Seattle with a special evening dedicated to one of nature’s most misunderstood creatures. On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 7:00–9:00 PM, Bats Northwest will partner with Woodland Park Zoo to host a screening of the acclaimed new documentary “Invisible Mammal,” written, directed, and produced by Kristin Tièche.

Held at the Zoo’s Education Center, the film explores the fascinating world of bats and their critical role in ecosystems worldwide. Following the screening, guests can enjoy a moderated Q&A and discussion, offering a chance to connect directly with bat experts and fellow enthusiasts.

Adding to the fun, attendees can take part in a bat-themed costume contest and raffle for a “batty” gift basket. Seating is limited, so early ticket reservations are encouraged to ensure a spot at this one-of-a-kind celebration of these remarkable flying mammals.
