Taproot Theatre is excited to present Always… Patsy Cline, a heartfelt tribute to one of country music’s icons, this spring. Directed by Producing Artistic Director Karen Lund, this musical celebration of friendship and song opens on May 16 and runs through June 14, 2025, in Taproot’s Jewell Mainstage Theatre.

Created and originally directed by Ted Swindley, Always… Patsy Cline is based on a true story. Journey through the joy and heartbreak of Patsy Cline’s groundbreaking career through her unlikely friendship with her biggest fan. With unforgettable songs including “Walkin’ After Midnight,” “I Fall to Pieces,” and “Crazy,” you’ll experience the power of love, longing, and friendship. It’s time to kick off your boots and dance! Licensed by the family and estate of Patsy Cline. All rights reserved.

The production stars Cayman Ilika as Patsy Cline and Kate Jaeger as Louise Seger, under the direction of Karen Lund. Taproot previously staged this play in its Isaac Studio Theatre in 2019 and toured it to two states, but this marks its debut on the Jewell Mainstage.
