Baylis Architects, the architect and project managers of the development located at 8641 Palatine Avenue N, is holding a second in-person community meeting at the Greenwood Library Branch on Tuesday, January 21 at 6:30 PM. This is the final undeveloped parcel to the east of Fred Meyer, behind Piper Village. The purpose of this meeting is to provide an update on the project proposal and gather input from the community on the proposed public amenities. You can view the project in its entirety on their Seattle in Progress page.
Baylis previously conducted an online survey and held a community meeting about this project on March 29, 2024. Since then, the project design has continued to evolve and they are therefore seeking additional public input. The proposed project includes approximately 106 dwelling units, public and private amenities, and a two-story parking garage, and will be around seven stories in height. The project proposes the vacation of 2,000 square feet of unbuilt alley on the parcel. This means the developer would purchase this area from the City of Seattle at market rate prices if the project is approved.
Please come by and attend the meeting if you would like to learn more or express any thoughts or concerns. You can also reach out to Shilpa Karve at [email protected].
