Pizzeria La Rocca wins two Seattle Times Best in the PNW awards

by | Sep 23, 2024

Pizzeria La Rocca, our local hardwood oven-fired, Romanian-hospitality restaurant has won two major awards from the 2024 Seattle Times Best in the PNW people’s choice series: Best Pizza and Best Italian Restaurant. From their Facebook page:

“We are thankful and humbled by the trust and support that you, our customers, put in our restaurant and wanted to share with you the great news we received today from Best in the PNW. Pizzeria La Rocca is a winner in both Italian Restaurant and Pizza categories.

For a couple of women that started on this journey only few years back, it is a tremendous honor and privilege to see the appreciation of our patrons and have it recognized by a time-honored institution like Seattle Times.”

Owners Mariana and Claudia would like to invite you to celebrate this accomplishment with some wine tasting and live music at the restaurant (8404 Greenwood Ave N). Feel welcome to drop on by on Friday September 27th or Saturday September 28th for awesome food, great wine, and lovely atmosphere.

From the Times’ write-up:

“After years or apprenticing in Italian pizzerias, friends Mariana and Claudia opened Pizzeria La Rocca to share their Romanian hospitality and love of cooking and baking with the world. Organic and fresh ingredients bring classic and new Italian recipes to life through the pizzeria’s woodfired oven. Inspired from various corners of Italy, main dishes and desserts pair beautifully with award-winning wines and cocktails.”
