The former Lodge Sports Grille across from FlintCreek on Greenwood Ave, which closed in 2021, has a new tenant coming in. The newly formed Model Restaurant Group announced that it is working to open its first establishment there, the Greenwood American Bistro.
Grant Rico, a chef and Washington native, co-founded the group and has previous experience as executive chef for the Hitchcock Restaurant Group and a sous chef at the Little Nell Hotel is Aspen, Colorado.
The Bistro will feature “seasonal ingredients that highlight the rich biodiversity of Cascadia and the Pacific Northwest come together in a playful menu and friendly dining room,” according to Model. No opening date has been set, but the group is actively recruiting employees.
