Now enrolling for Seattle Art Class: empowering girls through illustration and connection

by | Jan 2, 2024

Seattle Art Class is excited to announce a new season of after-school classes, specifically designed for girls from 3rd to 8th grade. Focused on character illustration and marker coloring, these classes aim to foster creativity and empowerment through student connections and skills.

Sessions are taught by local PhinneyWood illustrator and artist, Louma El-Khoury, who is an advocate of empowering young girls and offering them opportunities to express and love themselves as they are. The classes atmosphere is joyful and fun, the girls’ progress in the six weeks can give them a lasting feeling of self-confidence. Louma’s two girls happily attend her classes as well.

The two winter series of 6 weeks each are now enrolling; the first series starts on January 10, and a high-end material portfolio is provided. Classes take place weekly at the Phinney Neighborhood Association.
