by | Dec 10, 2023

In early 2024, local group Breaking White Silence is offering free, Zoom-based, facilitated study groups for white people about white privilege, white supremacy and the role white people can play in dismantling racism. One group will read Nice Racism by Robin DiAngelo, and the other will read Deepening Skills in Holding Constructive Conversations around Race.

Zoom Group 1 – Nice RacismHow Progressive White People Perpetuate Racial Harm by Robin DiAngelo
Alternate Sundays, 1 – 3 pm; Jan 7 – Mar 17, 2024; a brave, supportive space in which to examine white behavioral patterns that can perpetuate racial harm.

Zoom Group 2 – Deepening Skills in Holding Constructive Conversations around Race, based on The Facilitator’s Guide for White Affinity Groups by Robin DiAngelo and Amy Burtaine
First Sunday of each month 7-8:30 pm Jan- June 2024. We will practice using the skills to address common challenging situations faced by anti-racist allies at work, in families and in the community.
