Hunger Goblin’ Food Drive up and running – please donate to support the community through FamilyWorks

by | Oct 17, 2023

Hunger Goblin’, our longtime trick or treating event throughout the business district, is returning again this year on Saturday, October 28th. Leading up to the event, “Hunger Goblin” is about making a positive impact on our community. By addressing food insecurity through our food drive component, we aim to drive meaningful change and provide support to those in need.

Last year, your efforts generated over 1500 pounds of healthy, non-perishable food to be distributed through FamilyWorks’ Food Bank, and we hope to break that mark again this year. Keep an eye out for our specially decorated donation boxes scattered throughout the district.

After you donate, dress up your little ones in their spookiest costumes and embark on a delightful trick-or-treating adventure, visiting various businesses in our community on Saturday the 28th between noon and 3pm. This multi-generational event brings together families from our vibrant neighborhood, supported by the enthusiastic participation of local businesses.

Donate non-perishable items to the following businesses between now and November 3rd:

  • Nutty Squirrel Gelato – 7212 Greenwood Ave N
  • School of Rock – 106 N 85th St
  • The Ladies Room – 8538 1st Ave NW
