A lovely play area at Young Child Academy
Young Child Academy, which recently relocated to 9218 Greenwood Ave N after 20 years in lower Queen Anne, has announced that they are accepting applications for fall enrollment. Their program is open to children ages 5 months through 6 years old and is designed to provide them with a safe and nurturing environment where they can learn and grow.
“At Young Child Academy, we aim to promote learning by providing a developmentally appropriate program that balances play with structured learning opportunities. We understand that involving students in dance, drama, music, and art has a positive impact on brain development and therefore offer many specialty classes for all age ranges and classrooms. We incorporate daily arts-based activities to cultivate student creativity, while developing an awareness and appreciation for the visual and performing arts. Daily foreign language and culture classes expose our students to new opportunities and skills at a time when they are most receptive.“

Full STEAM Ahead is a new licensed Family Home Childcare Center located in Greenwood close to Greenwood Elementary School. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. Activities in these areas of learning are offered every day for both preschool and after school care.
“When children learn through STEAM, they are developing important skills which include critical thinking and reasoning as well as problem solving. STEAM also teaches real life skills and is fun which helps children want to learn. We provide a safe place for kids to explore their interests. STEAM activities, homework help, a wide range of interesting materials for kids to explore, and support from loving teachers as they work on their social and emotional skills.“
