Baraka Gems and A Ring of Hope of PhinneyWood are teaming up again. A Ring of Hope will soon be sending a representative back to the Kosele, Kenya community they have been working to support since 2009. Baraka Gems has been looking for supplies and monetary donations to send over on the trip.

Dave at Dabble Art Studio (306 N 83rd St, behind Coyle’s) has graciously offered to receive supplies next week Wednesday through Friday, August 16-18, 10am-8pm, and Saturday August 19, 10am-3pm. A Ring of Hope has one whole suitcase that it can fill with

  • Reading glasses
  • Sterile first aid supplies
  • Sealed/unopened bottles of Tylenol, Advil, Aspirin
  • New tooth brushes
  • Pens, pencils, rulers
  • And a personal request from one of our Kenyan friends… Starbucks VIA instant coffee

If you’d like to drop off supply donations, please bring them to Dabble during the days/times listed. Any monetary donations can be done through the A Ring of Hope website here.
