Phinney Ridge Community Council hosting discussion on updating the Seattle Transportation Plan

by | Jun 6, 2022

The Phinney Ridge Community Council will be hosting a Zoom meeting tomorrow (Tuesday 6/7) at 7pm for a community discussion of policies and projects that affect our neighborhood.

Learn about considerations about the future of Seattle as it grows. The updated Seattle Comprehensive Plan will guide City decisions about where we locate housing and jobs, and where and how we invest in transportation infrastructure, utilities, parks, and other public assets. The goal is to make the city more equitable, livable, sustainable, and resilient for today’s communities and future residents.

At this meeting, Seattle Department of Transportation will present the Transportation Plan as a separate component of the Comprehensive Plan. It consists of buses, light rail, sidewalks, public spaces, and much more. COVID-19, climate change, and rapid population growth have made it difficult to keep this system running smoothly.
