Documentary premiere this Monday — “Roosevelt High School: Beyond Black & White”

Roosevelt Alumni for Racial Equity (RARE) has announced the release and debut of “Roosevelt High School Beyond Black & White” on Monday, January 31st.  Founding RARE members are a diverse mix of north end neighborhood and racial transfer (bussing) alumni. The film is meant to start family and friend discussions around race. See the Trailer here.  

The premier will be at 7pm and followed by Q&A with a panel that includes Seattle Public School Board President Brandon Hersey, Roosevelt Principal HkwauaQueJol Hollins, students, parents, and alumni. Learn how we can do better in this documentary about race and education, using the students and alumni of Roosevelt High School as an example.
