A gorgeous 8.9 inches of snow blanketed our town on the first day of this long holiday weekend, making for Seattle’s snowiest day in 52 years (14.9 inches buried the town on January 27, 1969). In other words, the last time it snowed this much in a single day in Seattle, man had yet to walk on the moon!
Our neighborhood – fortuitously for some and unfortunately for others situated on the crest of many hills – was filled with joyous skiers, sledders, and people with dogs and smiles. A few of our community members sent in some lovely pictures to share with you all.
