Park Public House has been serving the neighborhood since 1993 and is looking forward to reopening June 17th. It was very difficult for owner Justin Sauvageau and a the tight-knit staff to close up shop and turn off the lights when the pandemic hit some months ago. However, he has been able to spend quality time with his wife and 16 month old son, Lennon.
Savageau joked “It took a while to get used to having a new boss, but I’m now a pro at building forts, Masha and the Bear, and changing diapers. The amazing staff have also used the time off to recharge the batteries.”
Completely closing has also allowed the Park Pub to sanitize and deep clean the entire restaurant and bar. The open space was easier to change in order to comply with the new safety guidance for inside seating. Guests should wait at the front door to be seated and there is no seating at the bar top. The patio will be open but pool table, darts, and board games are closed.
Temporary parking is available directly in front for take-out food/drinks or you can order delivery through Grubhub. Guests can expect the same delicious pub food and fresh cocktails, wine, and beer will be ready to satisfy your cravings from the past three months. Business hours are Wednesday-Sunday 4-8 PM and closed Monday/Tuesday. No weekend brunch at the moment but check their Facebook page for expanded hours and offerings. You can also help support them by picking up gift cards and growlers of beer.
“We have missed serving our community and can’t wait to see your smiling faces! Know that we will be smiling back at you under our face masks,” writes Savageau.
