PhinneyWood Round-Up – May 21st – The Masked Bush, Woodland Park Zoo, North Star Diner, Four Spoons, and Prost!

by | May 21, 2020

It’s hard for us all to keep up with everything going on these days. PhinneyWood is here to help you stay up to date on some of the latest happenings around the neighborhood.

If you’ve been curious about the “masked bush” on the corner of NW 81st Street and 1st Avenue NW, you’re not the only one. Kiro 7 was as well, resulting in this feature over the weekend. What began as a bit of decoration, has become a mask exchange and food donation site for the community.

Getting tired of Zoom calls with all of the same people? Why not have a call with one of the animals from the Woodland Park Zoo? Now you can choose from a select group of mammals, birds, reptiles, and insects for a 15-minute virtual meeting, gathering or happy hour! For more information on how to book a call click here.

As of today, North Star Diner is back! Burrito-To-You and Nightly Takeout is available Thursday-Monday according to a recent post on the diner’s Facebook page. More details and menus (including cocktails) will be available soon, so keep an eye out here.

Prost! has added another day to their to-go brat and beer sales. In addition to Wednesdays from 2-6pm and Saturdays from 1-4pm, you can now drop by on Fridays from 2-6pm. Learn more about the latest offerings on their Instagram page.

Four Spoons Cafe is back at if for weekend brunch today. They offer contactless pickup from 8:30am-noon on Thursday and Friday, and 8am-noon on Saturday and Sunday. To place an order, call 206-297-6384. You can find their menu here.

Have some news that you need to share with the community, feel free to reach out so we can spread the word! There is an easy online submission form here.
