Informational meeting on Tent City 3 Monday night at Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church

by | Nov 24, 2019

Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church will be hosting Tent City 3 for three months beginning December 7. The church has hosted TC3 twice before. It is a legal, resident-run, city funded safe and productive shelter for about 50-80 individuals without a home.

Potential residents are screened against the sex offender registry, adhere to a thorough code of conduct including no drugs or alcohol, and commit to bettering the neighborhood through litter and security patrols. According to PRLC, studies have shown that crime decreases in neighborhoods that host Tent City 3, and had a “stellar reputation around town.”

Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church will be hosting a neighborhood informational meeting at the church on the evening of November 25 from 6-8pm. You are invited to hear from residents and church staff, ask questions, and help shape this upcoming event. If you aren’t able to make the meeting and have any questions, please email [email protected].
