Community tool library written up in Sierra Club magazine

by | Jun 24, 2019

Did you know that you live near the world’s oldest continuously operating tool library, which dates back to the 1970s? The Tool Lending Library, in the lower brick building of the PNA, has a dizzying amount of tools and gear available for all PNA members to borrow and use for as long as you need.

Sierra, the national magazine of the Sierra Club, recently featured the library as a part of a look at the new “sharing economy” (think Airbnb, Zipcar, etc) and the positive ecological repercussions of purchasing less.

Tool library hours:

Wednesday 3-6:30 pm
Friday 5-7 pm
Saturday 9 am-2 pm

Location: 6615 Dayton Ave N. (The east side of the Brick Building)
