Phinney Farmers Market is from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Friday in the upper parking lot of the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., with fresh veggies, fruits, bread, chocolate, honey, meat, eggs, beer, flowers and more, plus several dining options.
Art Up PhinneyWood Artwalk is from 6-9 p.m. Friday at dozens of venues throughout Greenwood and Phinney Ridge. See the Artwalk website for details on every venue and artist.
2nd Saturday Cinema: “The Incredibles” at 12 p.m. Saturday at Naked City Brewing. Free; seating is first come, first served. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. for classic cartoons. All ages welcome.
PhinneyWood Garage Sale Day is Saturday at about 100 sites throughout the neighborhood from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., plus a Flea Market, Tool Sale and Plant Swap at the PNA, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., in the parking lots and the Tool Library. Print a map or see the online interactive map of all sites here. At the Phinney Center, donate to Goodwill, recycle electronics, and shred paper. Swap plants and pots or pick up new plants for free.
Family Fiesta from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at the PNA in Community Hall in the Brick Building. Cost is $35 for adults, $5 for children. Celebrate Latino cultures at this family-fun event and fundraiser for the Phinney Spanish-language Cooperative Preschool. Includes dinner, beer, sangria, performances, dancing, and fun activities for the kids. Proceeds go towards scholarships.
Neighborhood Cleanup and Conversation from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Green Bean Coffeehouse, 8525 Greenwood Ave. N. Join neighbors to pick up trash around Greenwood Park, followed by refreshments and a conversation about homelessness.
Traffic-wise this weekend:

- Washington State Department of Transportation will reduce both directions of State Route 99 to one lane on Saturday, to dig large sign foundations for the future SR 99 tunnel.
- Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon will close all lanes of northbound SR 99 between the West Seattle Bridge and Green Lake, along with off-ramps on Interstate 5 and SR 520, on Sunday.
- Sounders play DC United at 7 p.m. Saturday.
- University of Washington commencement ceremonies at Husky Stadium on Saturday.
