Registration for annual Night Out Against Crime now open

by | Jun 14, 2018

Seattle will join cities across the country on Tuesday, Aug. 7, for the national annual Night Out Against Crime, which brings neighbors together.
Seattle Police Department just opened registration for neighbors to sign up for block parties that will close off streets that evening so people can get to know each other and talk about crime prevention. Last year, Seattle registered more than 1,300 Night Out events.
You can register your block party here.

The Department of Neighborhoods has funding available to support your Night Out event. The Small Sparks Fund provides matching dollars for neighborhood-initiated projects that promote community engagement. Community groups can request up to $5000 to help fund Night Out planning and activities. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, June 26th at 5:00 p.m. For information on the application process, visit www.seattle.gov/neighborhoods/nmf, or call 206-233-0093. The Small Sparks Fund is open to applications year-round.
