Poetry, music, theater, wine and Haiti benefit concert in Phinney-Greenwood this weekend

Summer Blood Drive from 1-7 p.m. Friday at the Phinney Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N. Walk-ins welcome (closed 3-4 p.m.)
“Lady Windermere’s Fan” continues at Taproot Theatre, 204 N. 85th St.
Couth Buzzard Books, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N., presents What’s the Word Poetry Cabaret at 7:30 p.m. Friday, and Little Sara and the Night Owls at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Owen Roe Wine & Bites at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Phinney Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N.
Phinney Community Chorus Haiti Benefit Concert at 7 p.m. Saturday at Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church, 7500 Greenwood Ave. N.
Father’s Day Brunch from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Norse Home, 5311 Phinney Ave. N. Traditional breakfast menu items with a Norwegian flare; music by the Norse Home Celebration Orchestra. Cost is $17 for adults, $12 for seniors; kids 12 and under eat free.
Traffic-wise this weekend:

  • The I-5 express lanes will remain closed until 11 a.m. on Saturday, so crews can perform maintenance work. The lanes will open southbound after the closure.
  • The inside lanes in both directions of SR 513/Montlake Boulevard across the Montlake Bridge will be closed from 6-11 a.m. on Saturday for maintenance and repairs to the bridge deck.
  • Fremont Fair is from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday (parade is at 1 p.m. Saturday).
  • Mariners vs. Red Sox at Safeco Field at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, 1:10 p.m. Sunday.
