Two of the Phinney Center’s biggest events are coming up in May and June: the annual auction and Garage Sale Day.
This year’s auction theme is Enchanted Forest. The auction starts at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Phinney Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N. The silent auction takes place inside, then participants move outside to the big white tent in the parking lot for the live auction and dessert dash. Auction items include one-of-a-kind experiences, jewelry, theater tickets, gourmet dinners, vacation getaways, crafts, and lots more.
Costumes are encouraged but not required. Proceeds support the PNA’s programs, which serve children, seniors, low-income and the entire neighborhood.
Tickets are $60 per person, or $75 for patrons.
The annual Garage Sale Day is Saturday, June 9. You can register your sale on the official Garage Sale Day map (printed and online interactive); sign up by May 21. You also can reserve a space at the PNA’s Flea Market. Garage Sale Day usually sees about 100 garage and yard sales throughout the neighborhood.
