SPD releases crime data for 2017, Greenwood-Phinney rate up slightly

Seattle Police Department has released its crime data for 2017, which shows the overall rate slightly higher than the year before for the combined neighborhood of Phinney Ridge and Greenwood.
Comparing 2016 to 2017 in our neighborhood: In 2016 we had 1,308 reported property crimes; in 2017 we had 1,313. Reported personal crimes rose from 100 to 109. Aggravated assaults and rapes were up; so was larceny-theft.

The graph shows a large spike in crimes in March 2017.
